Mystic Eve

Composed of stardust, mystic eve
Whose living joy would leave
If I but doubted to believe
Your Presence with me, breathe.

For crystallized before me lays
The living snows of days
That drifts to souls in countless ways
Then turns to me, conveys.

And You whose humble grandeur cause
This heart, this soul to pause
Will teach me love within Thy Laws
Of living warmth and thaws.

"The most beautiful and profound emotion
we can experience is the sensation of the mystical.

It is the foundation of all true science.

He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can
no longer stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead.

To know that what is inconceivable to us
really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom,
as the most radiant beauty which our dull faculties
can comprehend only in their most primitive form--
this knowledge, this feeling,
is at the center of true religiousness".

-- Albert Einstein
