I lovingly dedicate this poem
To all those lost at sea
![]()

Where Anchor Longs to be
I'll catch a wooden ferry boat
And cross the darkened sea
Down toward the lights that drift afloat
Where anchor longs to be.
The moon and stars that shine on me
These ancient friends, and more
Are smiling down on darkened sea
Where life abundant soar.
To Thee I bring my richly stores
That beats beneath my breast;
I come to anchor in Thy shores
Of peace and blessed rest.
